WHAT ARE SOME EXAMPLES
OF OUR NDIS NURSING SERVICES?

The team at Royalty Scope experience all types of nursing and aged care scenarios as an NDIS Approved Provider. Our breadth of expertise enables us to manage these situations with a mix of services required. Each case we treat individually and with evidence based care practices.

    • NDIS ASSISTANCE WITH SELF CARE ACTIVITIES, LEVEL 2;
      “Jackie” is married and lives with her husband in Sydney. After reviewing a number of NDIS service providers from the LAC she chose Royalty Scope Nursing Services to contact Royalty scope services. Jackie has one leg amputated and uses a prosthesis, walking stick and wheelchair when she is outside. Jackie loves swimming at least once a week at the local leisure centre.

      Currently our support worker meets her once a week at her house to assist her to put her wheelchair in the car so Jackie can drive herself then meets her at the pool to then get out of the car again, get changed and enjoy a swim. Jackie has been with us for more than a year now and loves having a companion and the  friendship she has created with her regular support worker. During Covid 19 they were very creative and went for walks instead of going to the pool as it was closed.

      This ensures Jackie can continue to do al the things she loves doing while getting access to her participate in her community.

    • CEREBRAL PALSY NDIS SUPPORT FOR SELF CARE ACTIVITIES, LEVEL 2;
      “Daniel” is a young and vibrant young man who has been using Royalty Scope Nursing Services for more than a year and a half. He has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, currently living with his parents. His mother choose Royalty Scope Nursing Services because she wanted an organisation that could provide both nursing inputs and a level of home care that had high intensity.

      A Registered Nurse was involved from the beginning and we created an Epilepsy Care Plan that was personalised for Daniel while also providing the necessary training to the supporting staff. His Epilepsy Care Plan will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant to Daniel’s situation and progress.

      Daniel also gets assistance from his regular support worker every morning to assist him with showering and getting dressed. This helps to relieve the pressure and stress his parents may face and ensures someone who is qualified and trained is providing the right level of assistance needed.

      During Daniel’s time with us, he has only had to build relationships with two regular support workers who both have Cert IV level qualifications in Aged Care and above. We did this specifically to help manage the high level of intensity care he needs and therefore makes it possible to then swap between themselves as needed.

      The support worker has also begun helping Daniel with his developmental skills as he prepares to move out of home and be more independent. He has already declared that wherever he goes, we wants Royalty Scope Nursing Services to continue assisting him with his daily needs to maintain and build an independent lifestyle.

    • STROKE OR HEART ATTACK NDIS SUPPORT FOR SELF CARE ACTIVITIES, LEVEL 2;
      “Ben” is a married in his early 60’s lives together with his wife who have grown children. He suffered a stroke many months ago and is recovering at home. He gets physiotherapy, OT plus dietician inputs while working with a male Royalty Scope support worker to develop his skills.

      The physio therapist has helped developed a home exercise programme that Ben follows two items a week. This helps to improve Ben’s lower limb strengthening, balance retraining exercise / indooor/ outdoor mobility practice and fall prevention amongst other things.

      Ben now also goes grocery shopping with the support worker and they also cook healthy meals together. Ben has thoroughly enjoyed doing this as it has helped improv his cooking skills while learning about good healthy eating practices from the dietician to hopefully reduce the chance of further heart complications.

      Best of all, when his wife comes home from work he has already cooked dinner for her.
